Eye liner holder out of empty salt can

Every time, my salt can that got emptied found its new place in the trash. This time, I held it and realized that it is way too sturdy to be thrown away.
Lately, I have been hooked up on to trying different makeup techniques. Every time, I get myself ready to go out, I always did end up searching the perfect eye liner I wished to wear that day. Alas, the time crunch always exists and I satisfied myself with the regular black. I really needed something to organize my eye liners and lip liners asp they come in handy when required.
So today, I took my empty salt can pitied it for a while coz it was to undergo a lot of torture by me.

Steps:

Rip off the white cover
Slice the opener side of the can with as much precision as you can
Now start using your ideas

Initially, I decided to do my own coloring. I took a thick white glazed sheet and painted some random pattern on it . And the white one is a result of it. However, I hate my painting skills and so, I ripped it off again.
I got hold of an old magazine and there I found favorite chocolate brown color glazed paper. I found it interesting as it had Health & Beauty calligraphied on it. I simple ripped it off and covered my can with it. Next I needed was to give it a girly touch and so I took some of my old artificial flowers and lost its luster with time. I drilled few holes on the open end of then can and one in the middle. I just pinned the flowers on it and voila, my organizer is ready to use.

Alterntives: cut out birdies from a pattern paper use them along with flowers to make it more attractive.

I am proud of my self to revise my 5th standard crafts class, if it makes my home corners beautiful and eye catchy and give me a beautiful feeling whenever I see them. ;)

Hanging decor for plain jane window blinds

Letter holder out of unused 1$ storage box cardboard base

I

My hubby was overwhelmed with too many letters pouring in and needed something to hold a few which he might be able to refer later. This inspired to get something real quick for him.
I found the dollar shop box in my closet and noticed there is a hard cardboard covered with the same cloth placed inside it. It was easily detachable and so my hands went straight to grab it. I had two of these and one of which had a fold in the mid and formed a shape of that of a 2 sides photo frame.
The pic above shows the raw materials used in this project. Now, as you see here, there are paper clips. I used these as I am a very restless soul and keep destroying my own creations and recycling them into new ideas. If you need to get a permanent product, please use quick fix or any city adhesive.
Below is how I placed the two cardboards.
And I just pinned the corners. Then I got a cardboard cut in a triangle just enough size to fit in to my arrangement as a base.
I got two square shape cardboard cuttings and painted them a little ethnic way and stuck it on the two sides in the centre. This is how you can get yourself the quickest cute letter holder.

In the middle of somewhere :P

Framing my 3 piece wall art with quilling. I find it more personalized and beautiful that way... What say! Well, as of now I am in the middle of somewhere making some progress on this.
